THE PRIZE

Our AI tutor won an award Comenius-EduMedia-Siegel, awarded in the category “Didactic Digital Media (DDM)” (Educational digital media).

The award ceremony was held in Berlin on 24 June 2025.

Il Comenius-Edumedia-Award, arrived this year at the 30a edition, is organized annually by GPI (Gesellschaft für Pädagogik, Information und Medien) with the aim of reporting multimedia products and projects in the field of Digital Educational Media which are considered excellent – ​​that is, designed and created according to high-level pedagogical, didactic, aesthetic and technical criteria, both from the point of view of content and of development method – by a independent international jury.

This year they participated 170 projects from different European countries.

This is an extremely valuable recognition for us, as it was awarded to us by an independent international jury, whose aim is to promote particularly modern and original educational materials.

And PiCO was the only Italian project awarded.

PiCO FEATURES

Un Intelligent Tutoring System trained for adaptive learning support, which acts as teaching assistant specialized in learning support within WBT courses, varying the support strategies throughout the course based on the content being delivered, the related objectives and individual needs.

There are various strategies to support learning that PiCO implements:

  • Starting up: supports the motivation and objectives of the course
  • During the study: works on the process of understanding and memorization
  • Upon completion of a topic: supports the participant in self-verification
  • At the end of a learning block: consolidate understanding through practical tests.

PiCO is a tool of (adaptive learning), as it integrates into its actions the knowledge of needs of the participant, enhances the study path undertaken, adapts its action to the individual learner.
