Piazza Copernico achieved with conviction the company certification of Gender Equality in the workplace.

WHAT IT IS ABOUT

Certification is a tool introduced with the 162 / 2021 law, with the aim of encouraging companies to adopt appropriate policies to reduce the gender gap.

The Reference Practice that we are following is the UNI / PdR 125: 2022, published last March by UNI and presented to the press by the Minister for Equal Opportunities Elena Bonetti: a tool for measure, evaluate and report through KPI, the level of gender equality achieved in the company.

A certification that primarily aims to initiate and monitor a virtuous path of cultural change in one's organization to achieve gender equity.

WHY WE BELIEVE IT

In Piazza Copernico – although we don't have to, because there are less than 50 employees – we have always intended to promote the themes of equality, inclusion and cohesion, and we decided to take the path to obtain the certification anyway.

Because we are convinced that gender equity is a fundamental element for a company that wants to act not only by respecting an ethical code of conduct, but also by enjoying the organizational and economic benefits that inevitably arise from it.

To this end, we are also preparing a series of actions and procedures aimed at undertaking a virtuous path, aimed above all at preventing and possibly addressing any episodes of gender discrimination in the company.

On all internal and external communication channels we are publishing documents, adopting tools and measures in this direction, such as the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct.

A was also formed Steering Committee, made up of Marco Luzzatto, Cinzia Mezzetti and Sestilia Cherubini, with the task of supervising and promoting a healthy culture relating to gender equality in the company.
