Digital skills at the heart of professional training projects

Starting from 2023, which was theEuropean Year of Skills, the common goal was to accelerate the digitalization process, give a timely response to the climate crisis, restore the balance threatened by ongoing international conflicts.

This intent was included in the broader objectives of the "Digital Decade for 2030” which include solidarity, inclusion, sustainability, individual freedoms, public space, health, safety and individual development.

Among all the skills, those digital they certainly represent the most urgent ones to be put at the centre of attention.

Digital skills initiatives in the public administration and private sector

In Italy, the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) has put people at the center, even before technologies, as the driver of change and innovation, both in public administration and in the private sector.

The 5 areas of competence of the Syllabus, which is inspired by the DigiComp model, represent the thematic areas in which the digital skills considered key for each individual are grouped:

  • Data, information and IT documents
  • Communication and sharing
  • Safety
  • Online services
  • Digital transformation

In the private sector, companies must invest both in the research and selection of new digital profiles, and in the training of their resources.

Therefore, upskilling and digital reskilling programs, targeted activities for the search and selection of digital professionals, digital skills evaluation systems to monitor results and fill any gaps.

The training offer on Digital Skills
