LEARNING AND AI

Recent developments in the field ofintelligence artificial they are now also influencing people's daily lives.

The educational context is obviously one of the most involved environments: the new artificial intelligence models offer the possibility of creating new tools:

  • to improve the learning experience,
  • to support educators.

AI applications can certainly add value to education, for example with the introduction of systems for personalizing content, for automatic assessment, for tutoring.

This and other things were discussed during the 2nd International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence Systems in Education at the 'University of Bolzano, organized by the Institute of Educational Technologies of the CNR, between the 25 and the 28 November 2024. 

Many experts were involved in the discussion on the impact, effects, opportunities and risks of the introduction of AI, and in promoting a conscious use of these tools in the educational field.

This event yielded many interesting insights into integrating AI into the LMS platform and processes.

THE CONTRIBUTION OF THE R&D TEAM OF PIAZZA COPERNICO

Piazza Copernico, which adheres to the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AIxIA),  involved part of the R&S team in the work, present on November 26th with a paper entitled:

From training KPIs to learning KPIs: ensuring effectiveness in learning processes through predictive analytics and data-based tutoring actions

During the Workshop, on behalf of the whole group Mario Santoro of IAC_CNR presented the article in which the case of our product was presented LearnalyzeR, highlighting data streaming analysis day by day and the complexity of the analysis model which already includes the inclusion of the predictive.
