The project

The project was created to support e-learning training courses on job security with quick and synthetic resources, easy to memorize and focused on the most suitable behaviors in every workplace to prevent risks and guarantee health.

The training product was provided to a heterogeneous population by risk category, therefore it was necessary to create a mobile project microlearning transversal to all risks.
Piazza Copernico has developed a personalized fruition system ((adaptive learning)) with internal designers and development teams.

The project involved the analysis and design phase in the first quarter of 2016, the development in the second half of 2016 at the end of which the training product "Security coach"Was released and delivered on the e-learning platform.

The training product involved the creation of one app connected to the platform e-learning aimed at all workers, located on the national territory and strongly distributed by reference sector, age and schooling, who had carried out the course on workplace safety with the worker profile.

The access to the platform through the app allowed a first access to the profiling test, which was characterized by not being a knowledge test, but a descriptive test of the job and the work environment.

The test (on a conditional tree) resulted in the diagnosis of the risks to which the worker was potentially exposed. Completed the test and obtained the needs profile the scorm package containing the only didactic units of interest of the profile was automatically "packaged".

Followed on course download in the app. From this moment on, the course could also be enjoyed off-line. At the first useful connection the usage data present on the app came aligned with the e-learning platform, in order to keep the participant's training history.

Each didactic unit dealt with a specific risk through:

1 card of prevention exercises

This modality was considered an interesting proposal from the participants' point of view (about 300), because overturned the training logic normo-centric, towards the expected behavior of workers. About 92% of the subscribers downloaded, 96% of whom carried out the profiling test and downloaded the scorm package.

For the analysis of the study data it was necessary to proceed with the two-speed technique, that is, looking at the results in the "primary time" (max 2 weeks), and in the secondary time (periodically every month). In the primary time, it emerged that utilization was high with an average of 78% of completion of the resources made available.

In the secondary time it was noticed that the participants used the video resource a lot like reminder, and on average they returned to the contents seen consulting on average 3-4 risks in the first month, 2-3 risks in the second, 1-2 in the following 4 months. From the approval point of view, the participants highlighted a strong appreciation for this modality considered rapid and essential.
